Training of Trainers (ToT) on National Chemical Management Guideline Application

This training module is designed for the Textile and Ready-Made Garment (RMG) industry in Bangladesh, focusing on chemical usage and associated waste management. Its fundamental goal is to prevent or reduce risks to workers' health and safety, as well as risks to the environment and the general public. The materials have been developed under the project Promoting Sustainability in the Textile and Garment Industry in Asia (FABRIC).
Main features and components
Learning objectives:
- Evaluate all chemicals, including impurities and waste, for hazards in textile and garment workplaces.
- Establish mechanisms for factories to obtain chemical information from suppliers for effective management.
- Provide all personnel with information and safety practices for active participation in chemical management.
- Establish principles for safe and environmentally sound chemical use in factories.
- Ensure compliance with national and international chemical requirements in the textile industry.
